Formal PEARLS tutorials
At this point (start of the 2nd tutorial) all of you would be ready with the clinical story and formulated the PICO/T.
With the search terms from PICO you have done the searchArmed with an article/s now you are ready for the critical appraisal
It is very important to have read the following documents
a) A guide to Student PEARLS (January 2009 version)
b) Improving Journal Club Presentations or I can present this paper in under 10 minutes
c) PEARLS Assessment Form
During the second session you have to present your PICO, search strategy and the article you found for critical appraisal

Hands-on tutorials will be an introduction to evidence based practice in real-life settings. This will consists of two, two hour-hands on sessions, on two separate days in Dubbo and Orange.
The three formal 'PEARLS tutorial' will follow (tutorials 3,4,5) in two groups of six in Dubbo. Each group will have six students and a tutorial will be 60-90 minutes. Each student will have 10-15 minutes to discuss the issue
